Ingredients (for 2~3 servings)

  • Cabbage

    300g

  • Whitebait

    30g

  • Shichimi (Seven Spice)

    as appropriate

  • White sesame

    as appropriate

  • Bonito flakes

    as appropriate

  • Dashi stock [A]

    200ml

  • Ginger Pickled in Honey [A]

    1 tablespoon

  • Cooking sake [A]

    1 tablespoon

  • Light-Colored Soy Sauce [A]

    2 tablespoons

How to make:

1Cut cabbage into chunks. Cut the hard core into thin diagonal slices.

2Put the [marinade] and whitebait in a pot and heat. When it comes to a boil, add the cabbage and simmer while pressing down lightly with chopsticks until the cabbage softens. Allow the whole pot to cool.

3Place (2) in a bowl and top with dried bonito flakes. Sprinkle with white sesame seeds and shichimi (seven spice).

4Key point to remember
Add pickled ginger to suit your taste. Can be served as soon as it is made, or chilled.
